Evel Knievel brought the spirit of P. T. Barnum
to daredevil motorcycle jumps in the 1970s. His usual approach was to choose an improbably difficult obstacle (such as the fountains at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas in 1968, or a row of 13 double-decker buses at London's Wembley Stadium in 1975). Then, dressed in his red, white and blue jumpsuit, Knievel would race his motorcycle up a specially-constructed ramp and leap over the obstacle. Often he crash-landed, thrilling viewers while breaking dozens of bones. In 1974 he arranged his most famous stunt, an attempted jump over Idaho's Snake River Canyon in a rocket-powered motorcycle. The attempt failed when the craft's parachute opened prematurely, but Knievel survived. He retired in 1981.
This is a satin full size authentic Evel Knievel jumsuit will be the centerpiece of anyone's collection. The jumsuit is 60 inches long, 18 inches from shoulder to shoulder and 60 inches arm to arm when arms are extended. We did not miss any detail with this jumpsuit. The jumpsuit is a one piece just like Evel Knievel wore. EK's on the front waste and cuffs really stand out !!! Stars going down the side legs of the jumpsuit look AWESOME. The legs of the jumpsuit even flare out like the classice 1970's look. Blue and red accents, featuring white stars stitched into the suit, with the letters "E K" embroidered into the waistband. The letter "E" is stitched into the right sleeve cuff, and the letter "K" is stitched into the left sleeve cuff. An American flag theme number "1" is stitched into the upper left of the suit and is signed "Evel Knievel" in black marker.Check out our Knievel style cape to add the the jumpsuit !!!
