Large Vintage Budweiser Clydesdales Revolving Lighted Hanging Carousel Globe Sign. Legendary sign measures about 23" across and 15" high; it weighs 19 pounds. It was removed years ago from a barroom environment so it has scuffs and I found 1 small tight crack in one of the clear plexi panels. It had been hardwired into a wall switch so the cord was cut when it was removed as it didn't use a plug but I saw this work years ago and I am sure it will when you get it wired. I cleaned up years of nicotine and you may want to scrub it further. Please see my 12 detailed photos. We are located just south of Boston MA. if you can make a free local pickup.
This is the authentic 1960's Budweiser Clydesdale Carousel Light. When working correctly, it rotates all the characters in a circle while lit. Given out to "better" customers by the Anheuser Busch Company. They are pretty rare and considered the holy grail to Budweiser collectors. Some reproductions have been made, the repros can be spotted by having no towns on the side of the cart, the bottom of the cart is solid colored, the dalmatians have consistent dots.
The Budweiser Clydesdales are a group of Clydesdale horses used for promotions and commercials by the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company. There are several "hitches" or teams of horses, that travel around the United States and other countries that remain in their official homes at the company headquarters at the Anheuser-Busch brewery complex in St. Louis, Missouri, or at Merrimack, New Hampshire. At St. Louis, they are housed in a historic brick and stained-glass stable built in 1885. There are eight horses driven at any one time, but ten horses are on each team to provide alternates for the hitch when needed. Assorted Clydesdales are also used as animal actors in television commercials for Budweiser beer, particularly in Super Bowl ads.
